A toxic tort is a personal injury caused by exposure to dangerous substances or devices such as Agent Orange, asbestos, lead paint, pesticides such as dioxin and DDT, dry cleaning solvents and other chemicals, cosmetics, electromagnetic fields generated by utilities or major appliances, and hazardous waste.
